Visual Psychology

There are two type of visual psychologies, high number of sequencial image frames per second in streaming video and visual range of radio frequencies. Optimum numbers of image frames at least 25 frames per second is acceptable for video streaming. These sampled image frames are processed for transmission and storing. For better compression, sequencial frames are differentiated and only difference signal can be processed.

This optimum sampling of video streaming reduces the data rate per second for transmission of video stream.

Coding

Image frames can be coded with lower number of data bits per pixel. Sequencially differentiated image frames can be coded with lower difference with lower number of data bits per pixel and higher difference with higher data bits assuming lower difference with low information content and higher difference with higher information content.

Further coded data bits could be compressed using discrete wavelet transform, where wavelet function is chosen in such a way higher number of transformation coefficients equals to zero or tends to zero. Thus better compression can be achieved.


Transmission of video in low Bandwidth Channel

Considering Bandwidth Cost, inspite of reducing bandwidth cost, bandwidth of signal can be reduced using data compression technologies. Depending up on how the information is important and sensitive, we can use either lossless compression or lossy compression.

If the video image to be compressed is with less information content we can use lossy compression either Discrete Cosine Transform or Wavelet Transform. But if the image to be analysed is with more information content, the compression coding should be lossless compression. For lossless compression, wavelet transformation is better technology for data analysis and compression.

In this context, most of compression technologies in uses will be used and wavelet compression is compared with another compression techniques. In the compression techniques, higher the number of transformation coefficient near to zero or equal to zero, higher the compression ration is. If higher number of transformation coefficients near to zero are replaced with zero, higher the information is lost. So Being there are huge number of wavelet functions available, best wavelet function is chosen so that higher number of WT coefficients are zero. This kind of chosen wavelet function maximize the number of WT coefficient equal to zero which increases the compression ratio. Thus better compression is possible with WT.

Lossless Compression

If the image to be compressed is of less information content, video stream can be sampled at least 25 frames in a second. Each image is compressed with WT. Better selection of wavelet function results better compression that is higher number of WT coefficient are zero. In this case, DCT is less preferred being compression is lossy for higher compression ratio.


Lossy Compression

For this type of compression we can use DCT as compression technology. We can use coding for difference signal of two sequencial frames and at the receiving terminal, prediction method can be used to form the frame. Better selection of wavelet function results higher compression ratio and setting higher number of WT coefficient near to zero results more compression.
